On Tuesday, April 21, 2009 the Indiana Minority Health Coalition (IMHC) held its annual luncheon, in Indianapolis, at which it recognizes outstanding coalitions in the state. For the second time in four years the Hispanic Latino Health Coalition of Elkhart County (HLHCEC) was recognized as the “Coalition of the Year” among 29 competing coalitions statewide. Barb McLin, secretary of IMHC board of directors, stated that "...HLHCEC is an inspiration to all of us who serve the minority communities. HLHCEC has set the pace for the rest of us in the state."
